Dennis Chafiâ, G.I. Dynamics, The Netherlands

Dennis Chafiâ studied Organic Chemistry in Leiden, The Netherlands. After his studies, he joined G.I. Dynamics as Manager Business Development, being responsible for initiating the implementation of commercial scale biorefineries around the globe. Dennis Chafiâ has had several political functions as well, among others Vice President of CDJA, and City Council Member in the municipality of Westland.

G.I. Dynamics has been involved in several biorefinery projects globally. More recently, together with USA based investment company Ara Partners, the proven and applied HTW® gasification technology has been acquired under the Joint Venture GIDARA Energy. With this technology, GIDARA Energy aims for significant carbon emission reduction as well as reducing the amount of non-recyclable waste. This will be achieved in several plants worldwide, of which the first of a kind will be ‘Advanced Methanol Amsterdam’ (AMA).
